STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! Before working at BCC, I spent 17 years managing the Engineering Library at GE in Johnson City, which is now BAE Systems. I started working at BCC as an Adjunct Reference Librarian in 2002. In 2007, we were awarded a 3-year Perkins grant to develop programs to transition our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) students into the workforce. Building Bridges has become an important way to network with area employers and high schools. My new project for 2009 is Fast Forward, our program at BCC for high school students to earn college credit through dual enrollment in both high school and BCC. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SAY HELLO!
